The World Is Strange

Our world through the eyes of the young

Presented by The Dire Theatre Omega Project

The World Is Strange is a part of The Dire Theatre Omega Project, an initiative that encourages young and otherwise inexperienced members of the community to take part in self-devised and experimental theatre.

The World Is Strange is a collection of short, devised scenes in which a cast of talented young performers from across the Illawarra present on stage, their unique perspectives on the goings on of the world. There are shadow performances about the holocaust, absurdist duologues about workplace relationships, reactionary scenes about the rise of the media and a collection of comedic commentary about the general state of the individual.

Performed with the passion of, and created from the minds of young people, The World Is Strange is a unique performance from the creatively inspiring minds of our young people.
