Scott Wings + MATHAMAGIK present The Idea

Media release, contact details and hi res imagery at THIS LINK.

Multi-award winning theatre performer and comedian Scott Wings and Brisbane’s multi-media visionary artist MATHAMAGIK are collaborating to explore the not-so-simple concept of The Idea. As part of the 2016 Anywhere Theatre Festival. Wings is The Idea, his comedic play and interaction with the audience explores good ideas, strange ideas, wild and wondrous and those intoxicating bad ideas. MATHAMAGIK utilises found and reused materials to allow the audience to see, touch and interact with thoughts, brainstorms and our everyday abstract brain activity. Housed at Lust For Life, a place of custom tattoos, an art gallery and superb coffee and cake. A perfect location for meeting ideas.

Scott Wings is the physical representation of an idea. The right idea or maybe he’s the wrong idea. Perhaps he has not been thought of or had the chance to be fully realised. We all want to be thought of right? An idea with a personality complex, bordering on an existential crisis The Idea is lightened by the out-of-the-box creative designs of MATHAMAGIK.

Wings’ one-man show is enhanced by the multimedia prowess of MATHAMAGIK. Collaborating with The Edge and Reverse garbage MATHAMAGIK will create unique props from found materials that will literally light-up the room.

The Idea just wants to be thought of and that’s something we can all relate to.” Wings describes the sometimes vulnerable concept he represents, where perhaps we are all just ideas waiting to happen.
