In the show, Miracle Mongers, magicians Pete Booth and Sean Mergard will tell tales and demonstrate the skills of pickpockets, memory artists, card sharps and all variety of unique acts that had their heyday in the long forgotten world of vaudeville.

“These were people who used their eccentricities to become stars,” Booth said.

“People laugh at the quaint audiences of the past, but forget that these days people spend hours watching Big Brother.”

Miracle Mongers is the duos third show for the Anywhere Festival and brings the magic right up close. Presented in the same functioning warehouse that played home to the previous shows in Seventeen Mile Rocks.

“We wanted to present this show in a very unique, intimate space, so everyone in the audience gets a close-up view of the magic,” Mergard said.

“When you’re working with the audience just a couple of feet away there really is nowhere to hide”.

The pair also promise to teach the audience how they can convince any stranger they meet they are psychic and how to pull off incredible feats of memory.

“We like to think anyone who sees this show will have enough tricks up their sleeves to never have a dull time at a party ever again”.
