We are looking to fill up to four paid contract roles with Anywhere Theatre Festival to start in September:

  • Venues and Workshops Coordinator
  • Councils Coordinator
  • Media and Story Coordinator
  • Partnerships Coordinator

All four roles are exploratory contracts starting September with fixed term specific goals with the hope they will roll over.

UPDATE – Due to the high level of applications the final date to apply or express interest is midnight Friday 12th August.

The roles are listed separately but could be combined depending on the skill sets and interest of applicants. If you feel roles can be combined, please describe how when you get in contact.

All roles allow for you to set your own hours as long as the goal for each contract is met within the required timeframe.

Venues and Workshops Coordinator

We are looking for a person based in Brisbane who can be the key person identifying venues for Anywhere Theatre Festival performances, calling venue owners, meeting with venues in person and locking them in as venues for the 2017 Anywhere Theatre Festival.

This is a contract position with a to develop a list of 130 unique and on board locations that will be the starting point for Anywhere performers, visual artists and workshops.

Key skills and interests: creativity, problem solving, taking the initiative, spreadsheets, online research, talking on the phone and in person. Ability to get around Brisbane to visit locations is essential.

Role to start by beginning of September with a contract end date of 31 October with potential for ongoing work.

Councils Coordinator

We are looking for a person who can be based anywhere who will drive the research and develop the contact list for councils Australia wide for Anywhere activities.

The Council Coordinator will develop a prioritised list of councillors and arts staff to sell Anywhere activities.

The role on offer is a defined contract position to go through the 560 Australia wide councils to develop a prioritised list of 100 key councils to approach for planned Anywhere initiatives.

Role to start by beginning of September with a contract end date of 31 October with potential for ongoing work.

Media and Story Coordinator

We are looking for a person ideally based in Brisbane who will develop the existing in house list of media contacts down to a story level and then start pitching stories and pieces about the festival and participants.

We see the role as having two distinct phases. Firstly, building on our list of contacts to develop a database of different story types taken by print, online, tv and radio.

Secondly, developing relationships and pitching stories about the festival and participants to create media exposure throughout the year and lead up to the festival. This will also include communicating with Anywhere participants to make them aware of opportunities and proposing participants where a good fit exists for the story.

Key skills and interests: creativity, problem solving, taking the initiative, writing press releases, creating story ideas, research, spreadsheets, talking on the phone.

Role to start by beginning of September with a contract end date of 31 October for the first phase with intention to continue as a rolling contract from November 2016 to May 2017.

Partnerships Coordinator

We are looking for a person based in Brisbane who can be the key person building a list of potential partners, contacting to establish relationship and arranging meetings with CEO Paul Osuch.

This is a contract position with a to develop a list and established contacts within 50 organisations (outside performance hosts) who will provide in kind and financial support for Anywhere Theatre Festival.

Key skills and interests: creativity, problem solving, taking the initiative, research, partnerships, spreadsheets, talking on the phone and in person.

Role to start by beginning of September with a contract end date for the first phase of 31 October with intention of ongoing contract in lead up to and including Anywhere Theatre Festival in May.
